William G. Deatherage Jr. grew up in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Kentucky, and he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 until 1970 (Vietnam 1968-69). Bill received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1972, and was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 1973.
Bill is a member of the Christian County Bar Association (past president), the Kentucky Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Bill is a member and former governor of the Kentucky Justice Association. Bill is a member, former President, and current Director of the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Bill is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Bill’s practice consists primarily of litigation, both civil and criminal defense, as well as assisting clients with business and related matters. He practices primarily in the state and federal courts of West Kentucky.
